Keynote Speaker: Major Doug Burig


A 24 year veteran of the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), he currently serves as Director of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Prior to his current position, Major Burig served in numerous disciplines within the PSP including: Director of Intelligence Division, patrol, criminal investigation, and criminal investigation assessment among many others. In October 2006 Major Burig was one of the first responders and the on scene incident commander for the Nickel Mines Amish School Shooting. He will be sharing his story about sustained trauma, lessons learned from this event and strategies to regain normaly.
